Do I need a referral from a dentist to see the orthodontist?

To seek treatment from an orthodontist, you do not need to be referred by your general dentist.  An orthodontist makes treatment plans based on expertise they have acquired from working with hundreds if not thousands of orthodontic patients.  Dr. Kortam is Board Certified in Orthodontics and has had additional training in her field to help diagnosis early prevention needs.

Parents sometimes find out too late that orthodontic problems are present.  Early orthodontic evaluations and properly timed Growth and Development visits can and will eliminate any surprises. The AAO (American Association of Orthodontics) recommends that all children have an orthodontic check up with an orthodontist by no later than the age of 7.

Ashburn Orthodontics offers complimentary consultations for all of our guests.  Please visit our website at www.ashburnbraces.com or give us a call to schedule your consultation today!
